How ScoutHalo handles your information — in plain language, without the surprises.

What we collect

Account information. When you create an account, we store what’s needed to sign you in and support you, such as your email address.

Your scouting activity. When you use ScoutHalo, we store the prompts and searches you run and the work you save — locations, projects, collections, and Scout Reports — so it’s there when you come back. If you start from a picture, we process the image you upload to understand what you’re looking for and return matching locations.

Usage analytics. We collect basic, aggregated analytics about how the product is used — which features get used, not who you are.

How we use it

We use your information to run and improve the product: to return scouting results, keep your saved work, provide support, and understand what to build next.

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not use it for advertising.

Cookies and local storage

ScoutHalo uses essential cookies to keep you signed in, your browser’s local storage to hold your saved work on your device, and privacy-friendly analytics. The full detail is in our Cookie Policy.

Service providers

We rely on a small set of trusted providers to operate ScoutHalo — for hosting, authentication, analytics, and the AI and search services that process your prompts and images to produce results. They handle data only to provide their part of the product, under their own security and privacy obligations.

How long we keep it

We keep your account information and saved work for as long as your account is active. When you delete something, or ask us to close your account, we remove the associated data — except where we need to keep limited records to meet legal, security, or accounting obligations.

How we protect it

We protect your information with encryption in transit, access controls, and reputable infrastructure providers, and we limit who can reach production data. No online service can promise perfect security, but keeping your data safe is part of how we build the product.

International users

ScoutHalo is operated from, and its providers may process data in, countries other than your own. Wherever you use it, we apply the practices described here. By using ScoutHalo, you understand that your information may be processed outside your home country.

Your rights

You can access, export, or delete the information associated with your account — email us and we’ll help. Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights under local privacy law, and we’ll honor valid requests to exercise them.
